Welcome to the Santa Fe Rotary Club Inaugural Bicycle Poker Run!

We invite bicyclists of all ages to join in this unique fund-raising event that combines a little play poker with a little exercise, all for a good cause.  The event takes place on Saturday September 18th.    Riders travel a low-traffic route and collect eight poker cards at eight different stops.  The best hand at the end wins top prize.  Other hands win other prizes; nobody goes home without a prize.  This is a family-friendly activity.

You register in advance or the day of to participate.  Adult pay $45 to play, students under 26 pay $25, and children under 8 play for free.  ALL the net proceeds will be donated by Rotary to programs that benefit the youth of Santa Fe.  Event labor is being donated by volunteers.

On September 18 meet at Frenchy’s Field (at Agua Fria and Osage) between 9:30 and 10:00 for check-in.  At check-in you will receive your first poker card which will have your individual number written on it. We will also verify you have your helmet with you.  From Frenchy’s Field you will then ride to each of the other 7 stops on our route in any order you choose. The route will roughly run along the Santa Fe River Trail and adjacent neighborhoods. There will be a need to cross Agua Fria and West Alameda ,but this can be done at designated crosswalks. Keep in mind this is not a race! Think of it as a fun leisurely ride in the park.

After completing the route and picking up all 8 cards you will make your way back to Frenchy’s Field where you will turn in your five best cards.  A delicious cookout of hamburgers and hotdogs with a variety of salads is included in your ticket price (including children). 

After lunch we will announce the top hand and award this winner the top prize. We will then announce the next best hand who can choose among the many prizes available. We will continue this process until all the prizes are given out.

Riders who register early receive a free event t-shirt.

All proceeds raised from this event will benefit the youth of Santa Fe.
